We ran into this distillery, located way out by the boat docks in Everett, Washington.  There are some great coffee shops, whisky bars and hotels now out there among the marinas.  And we were staying at the Indigo Hotel.  We walked over to the Muse Coffee shop/Whisky bar and on the way back saw the sign for the Bluewater Distillery.  Always on the lookout for whisky and gin, we stopped in.

We were greeted by the owner who told us about the distillery and the old pot stills that they use.  We promised to come back later after our family functions ended.  He said we needed to try his favorite martini, the Voyager. And we did stop by.  The staff poured us a sample of the gin, vodka and aquavit.  And they were all very good.  And then we ordered a Voyager.  This was equally excellent.

As you can see from the pix, this is a cool place.  It glows at night with that “come hither” look that I cannot resist — the promise of a good gin.

They serve a wide variety of distilled libations, mixed drinks and (what looked like) great pub food.  They aren’t open crazy late either.  If you are up in Everett, Wa (where I was born actually), check these guys out.
