Big Table Farm

Located in Willamette Valley a ten minute drive from Patricia Green Cellars, Big Table Farm is a work of art.  Not only is the tasting room full of art work, but the wine itself is artful.  

All of the bottles are labeled with artwork.  But the wines are so super concentrated that they, too, are like masterpieces.  We were amazed at the wines.  The Chardonnays were thick with flavors, honey and wax.  The Rose’ of Pinot Noir was the best hands down that we’ve ever tried.

But the Pinot Noirs were the real treat.  These wines were thick with flavor, concentrated and pronounced.  The finishes were massive.  It was a though the water had been evaporated from the wines leaving only concentrated scents and flavors.  The wine had low tannin but had a Jello-like thickness that stuck to our teeth beautifully.  And the acidity of these wines helped to balance the thick fruit.

These pinots were outstanding.  And the staff were very nature oriented, informative and knowledgeable.  The labels were all images of natural creatures, some of which were the farm’s animals.

Big Table Farm was a treat.
