Patz & Hall
Patz & Hall is a classic. It was purchased and owned by Ch Ste Michelle in Washington State for a while but was recently bought back by James Hall, one of the founding partners of the winery. It’s one of those Sonoma wineries that stays in our subconsciouses as solid, top notch and consistently great.
You’ll find it on 8th avenue, just on the edge of the “country” area near the town of Sonoma. It has a great tasting facility with lots of room. It has an amazingly unstuffy staff that we always love hanging out with when doing a tasting. They’re an unpretentious bunch that know their stuff.
The wines are great with connections with amazing vineyards such as Hyde, Hudson, Martinelli and Pisoni. And they have access to the awesome Gap’s Crown Vineyard. So, when you go in, you’ll find a menu with a large number of Pinots and Chardonnays. This one is easy to find and worth checking out.
