Blue Farm Winery
Blue Farm is a real treat. And there aren’t a lot of folks that have heard of it. This is the creation of Anne Moller-Racke. Some might know here for her association with Donum Winery. But she bowed out from that successful venture and started Blue Farm — a Pinot Noir heavy endeavor that surprises and delights.
Now, it might get a big confusing finding the tasting room. The address online takes you come to another of their locations. Give them a call and Allie will lead the way. But you will be thrilled once you get there. It is all worth it.
The grounds are purely Sonoma County. There are old barns and outbuildings and the cutest blue house you’ve ever seen. The tasting area outside is situated out under a huge, old pepper tree. And behind that is a small wetland full of birds. Beyond that are the vineyards.
But enough of the ambiance. The wines are stellar. We were able to try 5 of their Pinots. And they are top notch. From their regional wines to their single vineyard wines, these wines are concentrated, intense, hugely bodied and well balanced. It left us wondering how they’re not selling out of wine! But soon they will. Anne Moller-Racke and her small team know what they’re doing. Check . . . them . . . out!!!
