The Oakville Cross Road in Napa Valley is known for hosting quite a few great wineries.  There is Ghost Block, Plump Jack, Saddleback, Groth, Oakville Cross, Silver Oak and Opus One.  B Cellars is in good company.  And after tasting the wine, they stand out as one of the best.

The facility is amazing.  The winery isn’t huge.  They do a lot in a small space.  But aside from that, their cave system is pretty cool.  It is loaded with barrels and a couple really nice private tasting rooms.

In addition, they have a number of hens and a lovely sustainable garden that provide items for their food and wine pairings.  Also, there are a number of citrus and stone fruit trees.

And the tasting room is really kitted out.  They have a great facility with an amazing kitchen, as well as 8 full time chefs.  And these folks pump out some amazing small bites that perfectly accompany the wines.  And as for the wines, they’re the highlight.  There are a couple dozen wines that they make.  They have lush Pinot Noir, rich Chardonnay, intense Merlot and Cab Franc.  But for us, where they shine is the Cabernet Sauvignon.  These are all excellent, but they have a wide range of prices for almost any pocketbook.  And yet the quality of all their wines is equal across the board.

This is a winery to check out.  At this time, their tasting fee for a very extensive tasting is $120.
