Failla Winery
Itis up just north of Deer Park Road just past Rombauer. The winery and tasting room are tucked up away from the road. The little tasting room is adorable and worth the visit even if you don’t drink wine. They tuck quite a bit of tasting space inside the small footprint. You feel like you’re in a mountain cabin. The set up is very cool, and the seating is really comfy.
But on to the wines: they have a large number of chardonnay and pinot noir wines. And they have a very deep bench of older wines as well. In the two visits that we’ve paid, we’ve tried wines of vintages back to 2014.
Where this winery shines is their Pinot Noir. They have over 7 different pinots all sourced from Sonoma County. And they are all very different from each other. Their prices range from $36 to upward of $90.
