Ricci Vineyards

We learned about Ricci Vineyards this week when we were looking for a second winery to visit after we hit Artesa.  We ended up not having time to do a full tasting, so stopped for 20 minutes to check out the property and then purchase a few bottles to try later.  But Tyler, the family member who runs the place, insisted that we try their St Laurent wine.  St Laurant is a genetic offspring of a cross between Pinot Noir and Savagnin.

Ricci Vineyards, does not charge for tastings.  They don’t really have a tasting room.  They mainly sell their grapes, but they keep enough for themselves to make small amounts of wine.  So, stay tuned to the wine blog page for reviews of their St Laurent and Pinot wines.
